Information regarding the application procedure

This application form provides instructions on various points that must be taken into account during the actual submission.

Materials to be submitted

As outlined above, the submission is essentially done by completing the online submission. This year's submission deadline is November 15th, 2024. Additional supporting documents must be uploaded at individual points in the online submission (see also the relevant information on the following pages). The online submission offers the necessary upload options.

In addition, for the first time this year, it is mandatory to submit a short film (max. 1.5 min. duration) that presents the organisational or technical innovation (see criterion 4) and explains its application and significance for the respective production (the content of this film is optional, i.e. animated contributions or similar are also possible. In any case, the film contribution should be set to music).

Assessment

For each of the four evaluation criteria of the competition, it is stated below whether it is a minimum criterion or an evaluation criterion.

The two ‘minimum criteria’ (criteria 1 & 2) must be fulfilled in the sense of a yes/no decision so that the corresponding submission can be considered in the competition.

For the two ‘evaluation criteria’ (criteria 3 & 4), a semi-quantitative evaluation (scored on a scale of 0-4) will be carried out by a preliminary and main jury as part of the selection process. It should be noted that criterion 4 (‘Implementation of environmentally friendly innovations’) is evaluated twice as the actual main criterion.
